What to Expect from a Wedding Photographer in Bristol

Are you thinking of having your wedding in Bristol?

Well, you’re in the right place because as a wedding photographer in Bristol, I love shooting weddings around here, not only because I am local but because there are some gems here!

Bristol was the first city in the UK to be named European Green Capital and the city is no slouch when it comes to great food and welcoming pubs – two things you can’t go wrong with. You can also take a street art tour to discover the works of Bristol's most famous resident, Banksy, for a true taste of the city.

So, you are probably here because you want to know what to expect from a wedding photographer in Bristol, like me!

I will be telling you about my process, approach and the locations for wedding photography for a wonderful wedding day and beautiful images that tell your story.

5 Things to Expect From Me

  • Get to Know Eachother
  • Plan of Action
  • My Approach
  • Wedding Photos - Locations and Venues
  • A Story Told

Get to Know Eachother

First things first, it is super important for us to book a call and have a chat. This will allow us to determine whether we are the right fit for eachother.

There are 3 things to understand during our initial call:

  • Confirm the date of your wedding to see if I am able to attend as your wedding photographer in Bristol – I already have weddings booked for certain dates or I may even have a holiday booked, so that is the first thing we will understand.

  • Whether we get along and have the same vision! One of the most important things to understand from our first chat is whether we click – if we get on then it will make our experience 100% better – you will feel comfortable with me being at your wedding all day and the process will go smoothly.

Couples have often said how easy I am to work with, so I am sure we will be just fine.

Plan of Action

We will then make sure to plan out how long I will be with you – this will depend on the wedding photography package you choose.

Whether you want me there for a shorter period of time, or for your full wedding day so your whole story has been captured for you to re-live. We will make sure to discuss where I will be and when.

It is a really good idea for you to give your suppliers a copy of your wedding timeline – this means everything will go to plan because we know what is happening every hour of your wedding day.

As your wedding photographer in Bristol, the process will be a breeze with a solid plan of action in place – you won’t need to stress about where I am because I will be where I need to be capturing your day naturally as you enjoy yourself.

My Approach

To me, it is so important that I offer a friendly and authentic approach – I have experienced pretentious photographers and it was not a nice experience. I always knew that is not the type of photographer I ever want to be.

For me, it is all about being myself, getting to know new couples who want to celebrate their love story in all its glory and of course, photographing those memories for them to look back on forever.

As your wedding photographer in Bristol, the process will be a relaxed, natural and fun experience, as I don’t take myself too seriously, and I encourage couples to also be themselves completely.

I know how daunting it can feel to be in front of a camera (I feel you!) but, as my approach is relaxed I just encourage you to enjoy your day as it flows and I will be in the background capturing it all.

Wedding Photography in Bristol

One thing I love about being in the South West is the fact I get to shoot so many weddings in Bristol and the surrounding areas!

There are so many great venues and wedding photography opportunities in Bristol. You have lots of choices when it comes to picking your wedding venue in Bristol and every one offers something unique and serves as a wonderful backdrop.  And if you’re having a little inner City wedding Bristol is bursting with cool views and backdrops that really make Bristol stand out as a unique place for your Wedding.  Here are my favourite Venues in and around Bristol.

A Story Told

There we have it, your day has taken place and I have captured it all on camera – all of the moments, the emotions and the beauty of it all.

Now, it is time for me to go away, cull the hundreds of photos I will have taken and select the best ones and do any edits I need to do to ensure every photo is perfect.

You will be able to look back at your wedding day story over and over again and you will remember how relaxed and fun it truly was. It helps when you have a good photographer by your side too (aka me!!).
