The Great Hall makes for a powerful impression and is filled with exquisite examples of Italian plasterwork.

The Ballroom was completely redone by Edward Barry in 1870, and it is a riot of early Victorian colour and style. The exquisite marble fireplace is said to have been supplied by Stowe. The dining room's floor is decorated with the arms of the Carew family.

There is a Vaulted Undercroft in the home as well, where the family's winter supplies would have been kept. The home contains a number of important furnishings and artwork.

Pennard House

An epic wedding venue in Somerset, Pennard House is licenced for civil ceremonies and provides the most idyllic, country setting to celebrate your wedding day.

Your entire day can be hosted in one location, eliminating the need for your guests to drive from place to place. Additionally, they do not schedule weddings on consecutive days, allowing you to arrive the night before and settle in - no rushing around!

If you prefer a church service, the 14th Century village church is just across their lawn and boasts the resonant peal of five bells.

Their gardens also offer numerous locations for humanist ceremonies.

Following the wedding ceremony, you can greet your guests with a drinks reception on the lawn. Their south-facing lawns and gardens take advantage of the best sunlight, providing scenic photo opportunities for an unforgettable wedding album.

The dance floor and bar area provide a unique space for evening celebrations, with enough room for 120 guests to sit and dine in comfort while enjoying a customised menu.

Old Bridge

Old Bridge provides you with all the elements you need to design the wedding day you have always envisioned. Inside and outside ceremonies are permitted at their venue.

They offer a front lawn and grounds for canapés and welcome drinks. Their large marquee is fully lined and carpeted and is waiting for you to decorate it however you see fit. You can plan your menu, drinks, and entertainment exactly how you like.

The marquee has a dance floor, adjustable lights, and heaters as well. There is a discrete catering space with power and water for your caterers at the far end. Provided are the tables and lime-washed Chiavari chairs with ivory cushions.

From the day before your event to the day following, you will receive exclusive access.

Hornsbury Mill

Hornsbury Mill is a beautifully restored early-nineteenth-century wedding venue in Somerset. Their corn mill is constructed of local flint stone, elmwood beams and timbers, and fine old ham stone mullion windows.

The Mill's earliest record is a lease from 1327, which refers to "Homesbogh alias Hornysbowe." This places Hornsbury among the earliest in the area, but it is believed that the oldest part of the current building dates only from 1835.

In 1973, the Crossman family converted Hornsbury Mill into a museum and opened it to the public.

Several names and dates were discovered carved into the beams or pencilled onto the walls and woodwork during the conversion, and can still be seen in some of the hotel bedrooms today.

Hornsbury Mill is now a well-established 4* hotel and restaurant that offers a lovely setting for weddings.

Many of the original elements of the old mill have been preserved thanks to careful and sympathetic conversion and refurbishment, making it a fascinating wedding venue in Somerset full of charm and character.

Haselbury Mill

Haselbury Mill is a stunning wedding venue in Somerset with a variety of unique spaces for wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships, and receptions. This venue has a stunning outdoor spot set in 14 acres of picturesque gardens and parkland.

The Dairy House

Dairy House Farm is situated on the outskirts of an ancient woodland, overlooking the picturesque Somerset. Since 1922, the Lockyer family has lived at Dairyhouse Farm in Bere, Aller, and Langport.

The barn, which was once a tie-up cow stall on a milking farm, is now a beautiful backdrop for your special day. The finishing touches, which give the barn a vintage feel, reflect the barn's history, which was built in 1948.

The large, open barn can comfortably seat 150 guests for a sit-down meal or up to 200 guests for a buffet-style menu. It has a handmade rustic bar and a relaxing lounge area, which is ideal for relaxing those dancing feet!

Fairy lights and voile swags are decorated all around the wooden beams, but you are free to decorate the venue to fit your specific theme and make it feel like yours!

With stunning views as a backdrop, including the incredible sunsets, this outside seating area is a great opportunity for photos!

The Dutch Barn is a great place for an evening hog roast or marshmallow roasting on the fire pit.

Northover Manor

Northover Manor, a beautiful wedding venue in Somerset is a space that can be decorated in any style. Large glass windows look out onto their enchanting gardens, which feature 400-year-old horse chestnut trees and stunning views of the South Somerset countryside.

During the day, sunlight streams in, and at night, it can be beautifully illuminated with fairy lights.

They can seat up to 90 people for formal dining and up to 140 people for a less formal setting or dancing!

Serving delicious food in a relaxed and comfortable setting is something you will appreciate about this venue. They use fresh ingredients and use locally sourced produce in all of their dishes.

If you want to have an outdoor ceremony, their gardens are especially beautiful in the spring and summer.

A beautiful pagoda is perched in the middle of their garden and down the aisle - ideal for you to say your vows surrounded by nature.
